PRAISING more in 2004- How you can do more:

P rayer [v 42] We will speak and listen to God in order to gain His help, wisdom and direction at all times and in every situation.

• I will use the Bethel Prayer Guide in my prayer times during the week to remind me of church family needs.
• I plan to regulary attend one of the weekly prayer meetings offered at Bethel Church

R elationships [vv 42, 44, 46] We will practice to one another commands of the New Testament with a sincere heart and a humble, servant spirit in order to establish a strong commitment to our local family of believers.

• I will introduce myself each Sunday or Wednesday to someone I don't know or don't know very well.
• I will wear my name tag on Sunday morning.

A doration [vv 42, 47] We will love God and declare His matchless worth in every area of life so that He alone is praised and pleased.

• I will begin each Sunday worship service by preparing my heart to meet with God:

  "God, my mind is busy with many things but I want to set them aside in order to give You all my attention. I come now simply to honor and praise You. I'm grateful to be here with my church family to worship You. I willingly lay aside my personal preferences so that together, we can declare Your matchless worth. (Matthew 5:23-24...confess and address any area of sin the Lord brings to mind.) God, may You be honored this morning by my worship and may Your Word speak to both my heart and those who have joined with me today."

I nstruction [v 41] We will invest whatever time and energy is needed in order to understand the Bible and motivate spiritual maturity in thoughts, words and deeds in ourselves and others so that they too can disciple others.

• I will strive to read through the Bible in 2004, using the "Daily Walk" devotional guide.

S ervice [v 45] We will use our God-given gifts, skills, talents and resources in obedience to His plan so that His Kingdom grows greater and stronger.

• I will invest an average of ____ hours per week serving in the ministries of Bethel Church in addition to the times I attend church functions.

E vangelism [vv 41, 46, 47] We will love our neighbor as ourself by taking initiative at every opportunity to build bridges of relationship with those who have not yet believed the gospel, to share the good news of Jesus with them and to pray that they will believe and be baptized.

• I will carry some Gospel literature with me at all times and will pray regularly for opportunities to give them away as well as for the right occasion to encourage and/or verbally share my faith with the people God brings my way.
